European Commission informs to the "European credit system for vocational education and training (ECVET)":

In 2010, the European Commission issued a new call for proposal to finance a new genaration of pilot projects under the lifelong learning programme. This time, the aim was to support national projects to test and develop the credit system for vocational education and training. As a result, eight projects were selected:


From 2007 to 2012 the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) pilot initiative "DECVET" tested the "European credit system for vocational education and training" within the German vocational education system. Information and downloads:


European ECVET-Network - Transfer, recognition and accumulation of individuals' learning outcomes in Europe.

The European Centre of the development of Vocational training (Cedefop) „actively supports the development of lifelong learning strategies at European and national level“ as well as contribute to a better understanding of the different qualification systems.


The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research provides information to ECVET and tasks and responsibilities of the national coordination team.


The Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture provides information to ECVET.
